Jake Paul versus Deji Olatunji, KSI versus Logan Paul, and now, after his embarrassing defeat to KSI, Logan Paul announced that he would be challenging the retired Floyd Mayweather Jr., arguably one of the greatest boxers in history, to a battle in February. Soon after, Mayweather announced that he would return to the ring in a “super exhibition” against Youtuber Logan Paul. Logan Paul believes that he can defeat the record carrying 50-0 mayweather with just one professional match on his belt, showing just how confident he is. This confidence can be seen through his words when he said, “Hey Floyd, I know you’ve had the contract for a while now. At first, I thought you didn’t sign it because you didn’t want one punch to ruin your legacy. But now, I feel like maybe you haven’t signed it because you don’t know how to spell your name.”

Many people argue that these fights are childish and have no real impact, but one of boxing’s most iconic names, Mike Tyson, had a lot to say on this matter. On a recent interview with Logan Paul, he said that “it’s the biggest thing and the biggest help for boxing in the history of boxing.” He continued to say that it “shows the power of boxing, that it’s spreading into another field that doesn’t even exist in the real world of boxing.” He believes that boxing has had its disgraceful moments and the new support for boxing that youtubers are bringing is only helping.
