Myth 1: Chocolate will damage your health

Fact: This myth is only true if you eat excessive amounts all the time. If you eat a large amount and then stop for a long time, your body will easily offset the increase in calories. In addition, eating a little chocolate every week can actually be healthy, as there are certain positive nutrients within chocolate such as flavonoids and antioxidants.

Myth 2: Chocolate is an aphrodisiac

Fact: Scientific studies prove that chocolate does not increase desire for romance. It’s more of the placebo effect that causes the sensual feelings, meaning if you think it will happen then it will.

Myth 3: White chocolate is chocolate

Fact: White chocolate is actually made out of cocoa butter, which doesn’t qualify as chocolate. White chocolate is just a nicer name.

Myth 4: Chocolate is high in caffeine

Fact: Chocolate does have caffeine, but not that much. A bar of dark chocolate has around 30 milligrams of caffeine, compared to a cup of Starbucks coffee which has around 300 milligrams.
