Scrolling through TikTok I always see small business owners making TikToks about their small businesses. Today I’m going to give tips on how to start a small business based on my own experience.
The first thing you should do is find a suitable name for your small business. The name can’t be too long or can’t be too short. I recommend making it something you really like or something around your name. After you found that you should make a logo for a small business. If you can’t draw, you can ask friends to do it for you, or you can hire someone to draw for you and pay them.
The next thing you should decide is what you’re going to sell. On TikTok I see many small business owners selling lip glosses, lip tints and body scrubs, so that is a suggestion, however you can sell anything you want. When you decide to sell something, you want to take the picture clearly and in good lighting. People don’t want to see the pictures in dark lighting or not from a good angle. The title should be a conclusion of what you’re selling, and in the description it should conclude what this product does and how to use it.
The last thing is where to sell it. You can really sell it wherever you want, but most small business owners sell it on Etsy, just register an account and start a shop. It’s very simple. You can also make your own website. When you start your shop, don’t expect people to go and buy your item immediately. You should post on social media about your products. Social media include Instagram, TikTok, Twitter or whatever platform you want to post on.
Starting a small business can be hard sometimes, but with help and support, I believe that your small business will get attention one day.
