Youth Business Excellence Award Requirements

 

This showcases one’s achievement in high school in leadership, marketing, finance, hospitality, or management. The application is available online and is due on January 15, 2015. To be eligible, students must complete any of the following items:

1.   Placed top 3 in a state level or higher business competition in the field of marketing, finance, hospitality or management

2.   Is a current business club officer

3.   Has been a president of a student club or organization for more than a year

4.   Has achieved a special accomplishment in the field of business

President’s Volunteer Service Award 
 
The eligibility requirements are listed below:
  1. Recipients must be a United States citizen or a lawfully admitted permanent resident of the United States.
  2. Awards are issued for service hours served within a 12-month time period or over the course of a lifetime (March 1, 2014 – March 1, 2015).
  3. Awards are issued for volunteer service only. Additional levels of participation with the organization (i.e. charitable support) are not a factor considered for the award.
  4. Court-ordered community service does not qualify for the award.
  5. Awards are issued by approved Certifying Organizations.
  6. Service must be with an organization that is legally established in the United States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico or one of the territories

The type of award received is based upon the number of completed service hours, listed below:

Kids (5-10) 26 – 49 50 – 74 75 +
Teens (11–15) 50 – 74 75 – 99 100 +
Young Adults (16-25) 100 – 174 175 – 249 250 +
Adults (26 and older) 100 – 249 250 – 499 500+
Families and Groups* 200 – 499 500 – 999 1,000+
President’s Lifetime Achievement Award: Individuals who have completed 4,000 or more hours in their lifetime
