Different Types of Teachers

Submitted By: Margaret Li

In today’s society, many go to school to learn, to get into a good college, to have a good future. This, however, is on the teachers to transfer their knowledge to you. Whether you like your teacher or not depends on your interest in the class.

Here are some types of teachers that you most likely have seen before, both good or bad.

  1. The Challenging Teacher

This kind of teacher makes everything harder than it needs to be and expects you to know everything.

  1. The “Funny” Teacher

This teacher thinks that he/she is funny and that everyone enjoys his/her jokes even though they may not appeal to the students. He/She inserts these jokes everywhere during class. In your homework, emails, on the board, in tests, etc.

  1. The Old Teacher

This stereotype is often shown in movies but often does hold up to its truths. This teacher was probably excellent a few years ago, but now he/she is getting forgetful.

  1. The “Know It All” Teacher

This teacher thinks that they know it all and that they are “always right”. They often get offended or angry if you have a different opinion.

  1. The Lazy Teacher

This person sits in their seat and tells everyone to read chapter 5 and take “notes”. Meanwhile, the teacher is eating while on his laptop. They often don’t teach and whenever a student asks a question they ask another student to answer it. If you have this teacher, you will have to learn everything yourself.

  1. The Fun Teacher

Every day this teacher is entertaining, always giving you a laugh. He/she is the one roller-skating into class on the first day of class with a weird uniform. He’s the one that will have funny classroom signs.

  1.  The Super Strict Teacher

This teacher is super strict and has a thousand rules, which he/she expects you to strictly follow. This teacher is also extremely organized.

  1. The Repetitive Teacher

This teacher will be repeating things over and over again on a simple concept for a long time. This teacher wastes all their time in class.

  1. The Rebel Teacher

They hate on the principal and talk behind their backs. They would hate common core and would gladly burn them.

  1. The Personal Life Obsessed Teacher

All this teacher will talk about is his experiences, family, or life. He will be talking about history for a moment and the next about how his family lives here. He will always be off topic.

There will always be a teacher you hate and one that you love. No matter what, there has at least one that you liked, one that has taught you something important, and one that has led you to where you are now.
